Butlins


Beautifully shot on Redcam by Red Bee’s Matt Losasso, the latest campaign for Butlins is contemporary and fresh.

Inspired by the sweeping architectural curves of the hotel buildings, the film has a circular theme running through it. The action flows seamlessly from right to left, gliding along with the smooth curving motion of the camera, creating a gentle spiral throughout.

The scenes are linked by a series of transitions, which lend a sense of fluidity to the piece.

Working closely with Matt to realise his vision, VFX Artist Paul had quite a few tasks to undertake – shot stabilising, sky replacements and grading enhancements as well as adding seagulls, reflections and lens flare.

One of his primary jobs was to make a bauble that could be used to glue the staircase and corridor shots together. This was then tracked to the vase in the next shot, so that the two appear to flow as one continuous scene.
